These images were created in a three step process.
First, I used
MLCad, which is a Lego CAD program created by Michael Lachman to build the rockface.
MLCad uses LDRAW, which was the first Lego CAD
program. Here is the .dat file to create the rockface.
Second, I took the .dat files created in the first step and used L3P.zip to
create a .pov version of the file. L3P is a DOS program created by Lars C. Hassing to
convert .dat files to .pov files so they can be rendered in 3D. Lars C. Hassing had a webpage
documenting the program at L3P. The L3P.zip has an execellent help file with
it.
And third, I used POV-Ray to render the files into 3D
images.
