The Friendship
Family Program is sponsored
by Global
Christian Fellowship (GCF). The
goal of the program is to give
international students the opportunity
to meet and interact with an American
family on a regular basis. The
following sections provide answers
to frequently asked questions about
the program and information on
how interested international students
can enroll.
|
Is
there any cost involved?
|
There
is no charge to you to partcipate in
the program!
|
Why
should I get to know an American
family?
|
Many
international students who come to
Fort Wayne to study never get a chance
to fully experience American life and
culture. GCF is trying to correct this
problem through this exciting program!
The program is a convenient way to meet new people and ask questions about
Americans that can be answered by a Friendship Family. You might even find
out where the best ethnic restaurants are located or receive help in finding
the best bargains in town!
Many
families in the Fort Wayne area would
love to meet you so they can learn more
about you and your unique cultural heritage.
Getting to know these families can help
build lasting friendships!
|
How
often will
I do things
with my Friendship
Family?
|
That depends on the schedules of both you and your Friendship Family! The
families are asked to commit to getting together with you at least one
time per month. Activites may include meals, birthday parties, holiday
celebrations, sporting events, etc.
