Project 4: Our FTP/Web Server!

This will be the biggest endeavor we have had for a build. At the last meeting it was decided to make the fourth system build into an FTP/Web Server. Members will each have their own web space. We have tenatively set this to be 300 MB of space. In addition, members will be able to upload files through the FTP to backup projects etc. There will be some restrictions to this which will be shown on the website at a later date.

I have discussed this with Dr. Kim and he approved this idea. He also talked with Dr. Erbach and was able to get permission for us to store the server in ET 118 (The TA room). I have submitted a form to the ITS department requesting an IP address and host name for our server. Currently we are waiting for this form to be processed. Furthermore, we are hoping to sell system build #3 before beginning the System 4 build.
